Thanks for the offer, different engine though. Mine is the sd22 4 cylinder diesel. I think of my little truck as an economy car with great/fantastic mileage and a real big roomy trunk.... Took me years and years to find a real cheap used one, and wonder of wonders, got it from another worker on the farm. Been driving it local and restoring it slowly but surely. The body is crapola, but the drivetrain and brakes are OK, not fabulous, but OK. Just ordered a new master cylinder today for it.

I haven't been further than three counties away in 8 years....and I think three years ago for that. I rarely drive past where I can eat a tow, hahahaha!

If you would rather ride I'm coming through Friday and headed back probably in the a.m. Sunday. You surely can't be out of my way.

Thanks for the offer but I want to drive it meself. Fun!

I mailed you a top end Mr fearofpavement....

I know the exhaust port looks a bit square, but it has a good bevel. I didn't want to raise it any.......it is too high already.

It will need to be used with a base gasket.

Excellent. Can I just reuse the gasket that was on it? I'm looking forward to receiving it.

Yeah.......reuse it. That will set your squish just right.

When I reuse a gasket like that I normally put a real thin coating of fuel resistant sealant of it.

Just read the entire thread and it warms my heart to read about you good folks getting this thing together all neighborly like. We need more of this in America today, I think.

Ya'll have fun and be safe now!

Counted the pile of logs today and it is 80+ so no end of cookie cutting can take place. I plan to have the following saws available for people to try if they desire:
Stihl 018C, 026, MS290, MS390/039, 044, MS660, 070. Maybe an 036 Pro if I get it done. Maybe a tweaked MS660 if I get it done.
Poulan 4000 CounterVibe and maybe a little 2.0 or similar. Also have a 2150.
I will probably have a few saws that will be for sale at the end of the day such as the Poulan 4000, I have a few projects I may part with and I usually have a couple of 1127 saws on the market (Stihl 029, 039, etc)

I usually have a pretty good supply of chain on hand so if someone needs anything, let me know. Probably won't have much time to make up loops the day of but could with advance notice. Let me know what you want and if I have it, I'll get you a price. (Forester in .325 x .063 , Oregon chisel in 3/8 x .050, Have some 3/8 x .063 Oregon skip, Laser 3/8 x .058 chisel, and loops of oddball. I also have some 3/8 lo pro and a bit of .043 gauge picco.

I will have at least one (maybe two) workbenches with a vice for chain sharpening or saw maintenance. We have compressed air, parts washer tank and tools if required for unexpected maintenance issues.

This can be a swap meet as well so if you have junk to get rid of, bring it along. I have a couple projects I've tired of such as a right side Mac 10-10A that the auto oiler doesn't function on (but the saw runs fine) and a Homelite 360 that won't start (ignition?), I also have parts for the small Poulans such as the 1800, 2000, 2300, etc. I usually have a complement of parts and pieces for the 1127 Stihls, have new air filters to fit the Stihl 026/MS260 and a number of oddball size chain loops that don't fit any saws I currently have.

Nice. Your really putting together a nice event. I'll try out that 044 and 660. Might even bring some pie.

List of stuff to bring is on post #305.
The first post of this thread has been updated and now includes the address and directions to the GTG site.
