usually a dozen or dozen and a half good size logs will do all that you need. you've got enough for a few gtg's lol ive always got wood left over and we have had upwards of 100 guys at some. you sir are definitely prepared

I only had to transport these logs about 500 yards so it wasn't a big deal to lay in a good supply. If there's leftovers, I'll just buck them into firewood. I have a number of smaller diameter ones as well so we can do suitable testing with the limbing class saws in a realistic environment. One of the irritating things on the chainsaw forum is people having inflexible opinions on saws they've never put in wood. For anyone that attends, I think it will be a great opportunity to dispel some of the conjecture and put reality behind the thought process. I've never run (yet) a ported saw other than some mild woods ported ones I've done myself. I'm looking forward to that opportunity at this event. We'll have 1. Chainsaws. 2. Wood to cut. 3. Food to eat. 4. Stuff to buy and sell. Sounds like a fun day to me!

Bought posterboards and a giant Sharpie to make GTG signs, bought name tag stickers, picked up the hot dogs and some fixins for them, bought a selection of bbq sauces for the pork, also made arrangements to snag a couple chunks of large oak (not real large but bigger than what I have). Also one of the AS guys is lining up big wood and maybe some racing cants. So it appears the final pieces are coming together. Is it Sept 20 yet?:D

I'll cover the sauce I you want to return what you got. Guess I forgot to mention that. Sorry. I'll have a tangy vinegar base and a sweet and spicy syrup/tomato base.

My dog Jase just piles them in the driveway. I started putting them in her dogloo to try and dissuade her, but so far this hasn't been effective.

I think it's still hard enough; the 555G said it was definitely heavy. It'll make Purdy shavins too, if you run a Sling'r Approved Chain and Mista Monkey Monkeyed with saw in it.

Bilge Rat and Wife
are planning to get there

Will bring something, maybe peas, beans, or dessert like Key Lime Pie.

I inherited some machinest tools that are too large for my little lathe that i may bring if someone needs them.
1/2" tool bits, carbide inserts, milling cutters, keyway cutters, endmills, etc.
Starrett, Browne and Sharpe, and Mitzatoyo mikes, 1 thru 6" Height gauge, edge finders, thread pitch gauges, calipers, dial indicators and mounts etc. More stuff than i could ever use.

My fishing buddy was in the aircraft building industry and large job shops before that.
I will bring some of this if anyone can use it . I would like for someone to get some use out of this good quality stuff for reasonable cost.

What kind of wood is that? I plan on having one or two of those chains on my mm ported 980 Olympyk w/36" bar when I get down there.
We dropped it a few years ago on the farm: I thought it was oak, but it's probably some kinda Gum

I'm bring same size oak as well
