New to A.S. I posted a similar scenario before. Hope this isn't a stupid question. Guys what should I buy. I'm stuck between an ms170 or a Dolmar PS341. I've only had expereience using a Stihl. I have an029S, beat the hell out of it (because I'm inexperienced) and it works every time. I don't know if I would feel a difference between the two. I need something small for an Apple Orchard of about 25 trees.

Thanks again.

STIHL:bowdown:

Stick with what you know and it looks like it worked well for you in the past. Welcome to the site and be sure you have a good dealer to take care of you.

I don't know the dolmar 341, but I own 2-ms170s and an 017 (older version)
decent little saw that gives a lot for the small amount of money spent on it.

Seems like Dolmar might have been making Gas Powered Chain Saws a wee bit before Stihl LOL :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

That doesn't apply to the 361 or 441!!!
Yeah, they’re finally copying the good saws.

Dolmar or Stihl? I’d choose a Dolmar over a Stihl, but I’d choose a Super XL over a Sthil…seriously.

Thank God they're not copying Husky sewing machines.
Do you sew?
Or vacuum?

oh, I gotta thank Jack Daniels for the avatar!
Have one on me Ultra!

I own several of both but I'm becoming more fond of the Dolmar products day by day. However, this is because I just picked up on a very supportive dealer nearby. I guess this validates all the others suggestion by default. If you had the support I'd go Dolmar, if not, most definitely Stihl.

Aw, yes!!! But we seem to have a wee bit of a problem with the elusive Dolmar dealers? :dizzy:

not all of us do. some of us, heck, the best and closest dealer we have is the dolmar shop. but then, not everyone can be so lucky....
