Just a thought here...

Are you certain the partial saw you received was actually yours? If you aren't the one who picked it up is there any chance whomever was working at the shop at the time simply gave whomever picked it up the incorrect saw?

Never hurts to maintain just a little bit of hope that someone didn't screw you over until you validate the truth...

Good luck!

So, I get over there yesterday after hauling a couple loads of logs, and scrounging some parts up off of a parts skidder for a guy that needed a steering pump. I by nature am not aggressive, and have found that often you get more with honey...................but anyhow. I just took my saw in there and said hey, "How am I supposed to cut a tree down with this?" He kinda looked funny, and said come on to the back. We went back there and there are chainsaw carcasses and boxes of parts everywhere. He let me scrounge through the boxes, and I ended up finding a bunch of my parts. Nothing malintentioned here, just a serious case of disorganization. I ended up getting a box with my parts, and throwing some other stuff in. I think that my other parts may have been used for repairsm but who knows. Anyway while I was rummaging, he did get a 181 tuned and a new muffler put on that I had put together from parts last week. Now I am going to try to put this 044 back together, and see what I am missing other than the obvious. Does anybody have a parts breakdown or schematic on this saw?? Would come in handy, especially on the chain brake setup.

Thanks guys,

Tom
