Didn't mean you any disrespect..!!

I wish you good luck with your 5-year Echo warranty..I really do..!!

Read the above post, looks like your wishing helped. Steve
Hi Steve..

Yep..that's what did it alright..!!..LOL..!!..;)

It really is just exactly like he said...a good dealer...and he fixed it..!! Good on him..!!

A cheap fix and maybe on the dealer's dime..??

My local Echo dealer tried..but couldn't keep on fixing the small stuff on his dime.

He sadly closed the doors..wasn't his fault..Echo just wouldn't pay him.

Edit: I think my dealer's main problem was he was an exclusive Echo dealer only.
(he didn't sell other brands that could offset his loss/pain with Echo)

My beef with Echo is not the quality..but rather the way dealers (some..??) are treated..!!
(I spent 18 yrs. in QC (quality control)..now QA (quality assurance) for an international co.)

Bes2ya!!

You people are slicing the baloney awfully thin.

Outdoor power equipment from Echo and Shindaiwa (two brands from the same company) have a solid reputation for being "Mexican Proof".

I happen to own two pieces of Stihl professional grade, outdoor power equipment and I won't loan them to anybody. I also own Husky.

Would you loan your $600 Stihl to your BIL, a high school dropout, or a Mexican laborer?

But then, I'm not a snobbish Stihl-only or Husky-only elitist.
