A good gas can, ($10 - $20?), plus ethanol free fuel ($3 - $4 / gallon), plus mix oil ($2 / gallon), plus maintenance and repairs on a gas engine ($????) . . .

And chaps don't work!!!!
 
That's not entirely correct.

Chaps are not rated for electric chainsaws, but they can still jam up a nose sprocket or overload a motor, tripping a breaker. Might not work as fast?

Depends on the saw.

I still encourage people to wear chaps with electric chainsaws.

Agreed......but the constant torque of an electric saw will eat thru chaps much better than a 2 stroke off the pipe.

Just don't be lulled into a false sense of security..........grin
