Tree S magazine
New Member
Hi everyone -
I'm David Cassidy, the group publisher at Moose River Media. We publish (among others) Tree Services magazine.
From time to time, we have an advertiser ask us to test one of their products. We have a program set up with out TURF magazine which has been working well for years, but we are starting to get requests from our clients in the tree care industry as well.
The way it works is: we set you up with a dealer. They call you and arrange delivery/pick up of the product. You use the product for a while -- 2 to 4 weeks is normal -- take a few pictures (this part is very important) -- then write up what we call a "Field Test" of the gear. These are around 1000 words or so, giving your impression of the product. How did it work on the job? Was it easy to use? Comfortable? We're not trying to slam companies, but constructive criticism (or even better, suggestions on how to make a product better) are welcome.
After the test period, the dealer takes the gear back. Sometimes, if a tester really likes a piece of gear, they can cut a deal with the dealer, but that has nothing to do with us -- you're on your own there.
For this you get fame, fortune, the envy of your peers, and $100 bucks as a "Thank You" from Moose River Media.
If asking this in this forum (or at all) is deemed against the rules here, I apologize. If not, I'm be posting the first piece of gear shortly.
Thanks
David C.
