Thank you Mr. RiverRat2. So much on AS... so little time to catch up on the sheer volume of it all!!! But it's the helpful attitude of the people on AS that makes it 100%

Perhaps Mr. SawTroll, your superior knowledge, experience and multi-lingual communication skills seem to be a threat???
:)

  :ices_rofl:

He surely is a more experienced sawyer than me, he just doesn't like specs and dyno test results, he trusts "hands on" with one cutting attachment, and in one size and type of wood more........

Please let this topic rest, I am tiered of it......:greenchainsaw:

Yup.... big business just keep on getting bigger and bigger :)

But, seeing that I live on an island, carriers such as UPS are vital to us!!

but pferd are made in Germany or Switzerland (forget which). Seems kind of inefficient to ship them to the US and then back to you... :(

A Dolmar saw (5100SH), imported "back" here, turned out to cost less than 2/3 (including freight two ways over the Atlantic, the last one by air) of what a locally bought 5000H would have cost........

I believe it would have been about the same story with most better Huskys, but not with the better Stihl models.

Pricing in not logic, when the market is different.......:dizzy:

That's a very good point Mr. Beelsr especially with environmental impacts in mind.... This warrants more research I reckon, to see can I get my supplies nearer to home.

No problem, mate. BTW, it's Beels, as in Richard Beels.

I love Bailey's but sending electrons across the pond is one thing - files another... They're all made in Europe...

Ummmmm... I wonder why that is? $$$$$$$$

because a 7/32 hits the tie strap after a while. some people use a 7/32 on their stihl chain just fine and some people switch to a 13/64 on their oregon and carlton chain after about halfway through the cutter too....

{shrug} whatever works for you....
