Let it be known around the land...I like smaller saws!:)

I have Stihls smaller and larger than the 025 but have only held one at a dealer. The 025 should arrive in a few days. I have an ms 210 to compare it with, both 16 inch bars but maybe different pitch setup...anyway should weigh about the same.

Have not heard from seller since Sunday when I paid after gettin' the "pay now with PayPal message". I think they have had some bad weather in Colorado so this guy gets the benefit of the doubt for now.

I had an old 025 that I ran for many years. 16", .325" pitch and I ran the Stihl RM chain. Great little saw. It can also be set up with 3/8" lo pro if you prefer.

skwerl, Did you buy that old 025 new? If not how did you aquire it?

Oh jeez, that was a long time ago. I was in a jam because my roommate had left the tailgate down on the truck and lost one of my saws (along with my spare tire). He found the 025 in a pawn shop and bought it to replace the saw he lost. Idunno how much he paid for it. It was well used when I got it and I used it for about 8 years I think. It finally developed a leak at the crank seal and I gave it away as a parts saw.

I think it would depend if the patented maglev bar system with the double skip chain was installed.

If you do sell yours you could add it to the list of your saws as

"Stihl 025 the one that got away"

How much is a running 025 going for on e-bay these days? I am almost tempted to sell mine.
Fish, This was $165 plus shipping. However, it has been a week and still have not heard from the Ebayer who listed it. I paid by PayPal minutes after the auction. Have sent several e-mails but not response yet...I want the saw and don't want to pi$$ of the seller so how should I go from here?

I'd be getting worried.... It's your money, but I'd phone the guy (you can request his details through ebay). I find just getting his phone number often will get them moving... (they get an email saying you have their number)

Thank you...very much...Phil.

:D The saw arrived late last week. Took until the weekend to look things over and start up. It looks like it was used to cut one or two trees around the house...the bar has one smudge on the right side S "S"tihl. Safety chain was sharpened all wrong (sawdust cut). Been their done that;) Bottom line is that I got lucky on this eBay purchase. It looks almost new and runs perfect after adding fresh mix, a new air filter just because, and a small carb adjustment after swithing to the winter position (20F).

So the few months of bidding low, but fair, has paid off. I think this saw will get a front row seat when it comes to work. The bar is 16 in with 325 setup. Just right for this particular saw IMO.;)
