I think that was only a 100' one. For easy access I often use a 180' tower and still have to climb out of it to finnish the top. On that particular tree it was used for pics and a lift up to save a bit of leg work.

Ox, what on earth are you selling in that photo?:D
 
Bug juice. It was down on the river, during the summer, remember?

Yes you can sell it for pulp when all the bark is off and rotton sections cleaned off. By the time you process this 'shell', it would be difficult to justify the machine time when you still have to dispose of all the bi-products. It was much easier o cut it into 15ft chunks and load it out for free fire wood, warts and all.
