Well I am sitting home en-tel my new glasses get here. I've gone throw 3 pair in the last year. I don't know how often I've had to offer a reward if a lens is found after falling out of a pair of my glasses when I am up a tree. I can barely drive in the daylight with out them.
What do other glasses weareing tree trimmers wear? I tried goggles but they fog up on me and I look dumber then I really am. I am thinking of getting the goggles basketball player wear.
I normally just use a sport strap on my regular glasses. I had titanium frame glasses, but they got mangled. I buy my glasses now for 39.00 from 39.00 eyeglasses. I normally have several pair, but I lost a pair in the ocean when a wave bombed me in my kayak.
I'ed like to hear how you guys do it.

i used to wear glasses in the tree and on the ground, but i switched to contacts after the 4th or 5th time losing a lens or tweaking the frames. Having to call the boss to rescue me because i couldn't see well enough to drive home sucked.

Since i've gone to contacts i've only had maybe 5-10 incidents, but since i carry the glasses its no big deal. Give them a week and i think you'll enjoy the differences.

I had the SAS goggles a few years ago, but it was not a good fit for me long term... plus I remember that they were well over $100 at the time. What I've been doing for the last year or so though is I got the visor for the Kask helmet and got lenses / frames that fit underneath. So far no problems, and no scratches!

Can't wear contacts or I would have to take them out to see close. I read fine, but anything farther then 3 feet need the glasses. I am use to looking over the rims when I work. I had bi-focal's once but they throw off my depth perception off.
Yeah I've make that phone call once or twice my self over the years, They(Bosses)don't really understand do they?:smile2:

Have only lost one lens so far, but glasses have taken a tumble several times.
Plastic lens sure get scratched up bad. Am liking the Vizir for the Vertex, but I don't usually remember to slap it down over my glasses untill I'm wiping sawdust out of my eyes.

Get the goggles skydivers and jockeys use. They don't look too bad and more importantly, they are vented.

Somebody say JOCKEY? ...

Has anyone tried the screen style safety glasses ?

Safety glasses last until I get to the top of the tree and get ready to work. Then the sweat and crap turn the lenses into muddy water. Needles to say I don't wear them anymore. Sweat pours off me like a u know what in church. The makapiapia (hawaiian for morning eye bugers) come out like 1/2" crush rock after big removals.
