Mark's exactly what every1 says about him, strong, fast and down to earth. He's definately a family man.

rborist are you refering to mr.chipps? i thought he had his own company or do you work for him? or someone else...

Maybe there are 1000 guys that are just as good... so what..

What's wrong with giving him compliments..... Peopel around here can get heavy handed and nobody says a word... When I throw out some admiration, I get accused of hero worship.... Respect and admiration... it's all good!

Gord, I'm working for wages there 3-4 days a week, decided not to go in today tire is flat on my truck and cant find the spare tire chuck/sockect whatever Ford calls it. STP does have a pretty smooth setup, nice and organized and several really good climbers.

nothing at all wrong giving Mark compliments murph, i know that he deserves them. it just seems that this forum is a little short of supportive words so when half of the forum jumps on the wagon to sing the praises of someone who doesn't even post here i find it strange.

mark is cool from the few times ive spoken to him omline and i wouldnt down on him, but you could maybe just send him an email and tell him how much his climbing has inspred you.
i personaly find inspiration in the people who hit this site everday and lay their experiences out for everyone to gain from. and in that respect i ve gained more from mark c. by reading his posts on the buzz than from watching him climb once at an expo.

I've never seen Mark compete in a competition, but you can look at the numbers and see how good he is when it's a game. He's even better when it's for Aspen. I've worked with some great tree climbers, but how many do you know that can do a removal with one guy in the tree, but keeping 8 guys busy cleaning the ground. Not too tough when he's lowering pieces that are bigger than some of the trees a lot of guys work in. It was a great place to really put some of my splices to the test!

Mark's good at finding the easiest way to do things. He also was a good teacher and a patient person. Able to figure out complex puzzles, and with his new bucket truck....there's no stopping him!

Just stay out of Chokey's way!

Seven guys, tops.

Have you seen the crane video? There is a heap of machinery and personnel hussling to keep up with Mark.

After seeing many chapter TCC and ITCC meets I've come to the conclusion that they are at about the 60-70th percentile compared to real world, working conditions. Also, the TCC climbers have a personality quirk that sets them apart from the jaw jackers. Even if they aren't in the upper 10% of the group, the TCC climbers are confident in themselves. Stepping out onto the stage to be judged takes a different person. How many of the TCC naysayers ever competed in an individual sport? Tennis, golf, swimming, gymnastics? Anyone who wins their chapter TCC event 13 years running must be more than just a showboater.

I've had the good fortune to know Mark and his family for many years. We've climbed together and he's as good a climber as you'll ever want around.

Tom-- Yeah I saw the crane vid. Awesome stuff. If I remember correctly they had 3 cranes on that job. 3 cranes for 2 trees.

I'm sure the communication had to be perfect to make it run smoothly!

I'd just like to point out that I worked with mark for maybe like 10 months and he never once beat me in a footlocking race.

Why was he holding back? :p

Let me know what he says. I am NOT lying about this. Mark never beat me in a footlock race. Mark's an honest man. He'll speak the truth.
