Saws

For any of you following this thread. I posted pics of saws that I am selling to benefit Manyhobies and his family.
I have decided that since there seems to be a fairly large response from members that can't make it to the benefit cut this weekend, for one reason or the other, that I am going to auction them off here on AS.
I have started a new thread just for that so if you are interested please respond there.

Thanks to all that are helping to make Manyhobies and his families life a little brighter, and warmer.

Good news and not so good news.

*****UPDATE*****

I was able to talk to the farmer and we have good news and not so good news. The good news is that he has no problem with you guys coming onto his land! The not so good news is the other place has been cleaned up.

He has a tree in the yard by the garage that he would like taken. I didn't examine the lay of it, but I'm sure you guys can figure that one out. We've got the spot that I made a vid of in my wood cutting watch it grow thread which is in my sig. We also have the pile of trees that were removed for the pole barn. I don't have a clue what type of wood there is or how much dirt there is. I'll let you guys judge if it good for firewood.

I've got a couple of trees against a shed that can come down. Probably will need a line to pull it away from the shed. If someone has experience in managing tree growth and would like to look at my small grove, that would be appreciated! What should be removed to help other trees grow.

I put an add on Facebook linking this thread for wood.

I stopped at a house on the way home from the Chiropractor today and left my contact info. That would be a great place to get into! No clue as on this one happening. I talked to the caretaker.

Would any one have a long pole used to change bulbs? My yard light needs the bulb changed. I have the new bulb.

My one ton Dodge could use an oil change. I have oil and filter. I don't think I should be crawling under it right now. Would some one be willing to help me with this? I hope this isn't asking too much.

Thanks again guys! Looking forward for Saturday.

MHO is any free wood is good enough for firewood provided its not pine. You just might go through softer wood faster than hardwood. If you can get some pictures of the trees and wood pile that will give us a heads up on what we are looking at come Saturday.

I'll bring my climbing gear to change out that light and the tree you spoke of at the neighbors just in case, along with my other rigging equipment to get those trees away from the buildings.

I can bring 60' of heavy cable and a 3' bar if it looks like we will need it. I am planning on bringing my 2095, a couple old Macs, and a 3120 if we need the long bar.

Well Dan here is your pile of firewood split and ready to be loaded into the pickup. There is a little of everything there, Elm, Ash, Aspen, Maple, Birch. Should be enuf to get you thru a couple weeks anyway.

Don't forget manyhobies wants to at least pull a trailer back and forth.

oh for some reason it will randomly die or have variable rpm's/"hickup" at wot. It happens randomly, I make sure the fuel filter isn't stuck, got fresh mix for it, clean air filter. Its only got maybe 2-3 hours on it, 2 years old. The symptoms don't really point me towards anything specific.
Check your intake boot and impulse line for leaks and proper fit.

Manyhobies, hope you get to feeling better, been through the back and neck injury, not fun. Hope everyone is safe and has a good time.

Appologies to manyhobies for not being able to make it but unfortunately work needs to come first this weekend. Hit Vinifirewood and derbyguy with some rep people, they are doing a heck of a job getting this going!

Fixed.

Well Dan it looks like the saw auction idea is a bust. Not one response.
If you have any interest in these saws you can have them. If not I'll put them back on the shelf to collect more dust.
Sure wish someone would have chimed in about that old Crapsman. It might be a POS not worth putting gas in but saw history is always interesting to me.

Wish I could have, I really like the PM55's but I spent my wad at the scrap picking up a USFS bin of saws.

Now, now, bring em and we'll see. Raffle might be fun, I can't spend big dollars, but I wouldn't mind the top or the bottom one.

Fact is, I'll go $20 on each, the Homey and the Mac, to start. If you decide to raffle them, so be it. If Dan wants to eBay them or run them on the list, thats fine as well.

Pictures of the Mac I said I'd donate tomorrow. Spun up a chain and shined, well, got the rust off the bar. Not a real long one, but it isn't junk, and neither are the ones already put up.
