While I was looking over the auction stuff for tomorrows consignment auction, I noticed an old 2 man saw, Reed Prentice Corp was on the name plate, didn't notice anything that looked like a model number or anything. I have no idea if it has a free engine or not, comes with an extra chain. It looked to have about a 48" cutting path. This saw looks like alot of work!! I'm thinking it might make a neat wall hanger, neater still if I can get it to run!

It's strange to see a saw like that in this area, the trees here aren't normally large enough to need a saw that big, except for the cottonwoods. The engine resembles an old clinton by looking at the flywheel cover, the pull rope is on the opposite side of the engine from the fanwheel.

I thought it was kinda cool and was wondering if someone here knows about the history of these saws.
