Now redeem yourself by telling me what model Homelite this 36" hardnose bar is on. If you say "XL".......then that 36" hardnose is coming through the screen to teach you a lesson....:D

that is an 070 clone.:hmm3grin2orange:

Quick Randy.............tell Annie to get out of the house. She needs to get out of lightning range before you get struck down...:D

What moron came up with the idea of hooking the governor to the CHOKE on those creamsicle Homelite copies???:hmm3grin2orange:

I just knew that would bring you out.

Had a tough week, hitting the whiskey.

You know me well. Sorry you had a crappy week my friend. I'm headed back out to the shop to do some saw tinkering tonight. Had to break earlier to get cleaned up for a chior concert the oldest was in. I enjoy the family time, but listening to other people's kids sing isn't my forte.....:sucks:

Pulling the 750 apart again in preparation for the replacement handle/carb box/trigger assembly that a generous fellow Homelite nut sent me. Gotta be ready when it gets here (I want to RUN that old beast, as does John and Norm). Also shooting pics for a yeller saw bar fitment "dissertation" that I've been putting together for that thread. Replacing the rope and starter handle on an old product of Shreveport, La too. Celebrating 'diversity' my way. Cigar and some whiskey will go with me. My work week is starting soon. Gotta enjoy the rest of the weekend...

Will bring the cell with me. Get better reception out there than in the shop. May give you a ring once I'm caught up with you...:D

Dammit Chris I was hoping Chainlightning was gonna guess BEFORE you chimed in.......

Looks like a non-running 900D. Just sayin'.

Chris B.

Right you are Chris. Pic shot shortly after I got it (see the date code). Still not running yet. Gotta finish the Homelite 750, Randy's 790, and a couple others before I move on to that one. Still gotta send friend something good for the NOS cylinder that this saw is getting too. I haven't seen pics of somebody's newly aquired 995G runner yet. Just sayin'...:D

Our trip is still in the works, date unknown at the moment. Gotta wait on someone to arrive in a box, then a side trip from G-ville for installment.

You talkin' about somebody from abroad arriving in a flying box? I think I know who that is. It involves the shanghai of more old Red Magnesium I believe....

We've gotta make our trip happen.:msp_thumbup:

Sorry to say it isn't that, I need to get up on the old ranch and jam my brother under a rock.

I think before I tried cutting down a tree with a Zip, I might try to just knock the tree over with my truck!

Take a tip from me dont bother trying the truck thing.

It dont take the tree down and it only raises your insurance rates. Plus the cops will want to take you to jail after the sobriety test. :hmm3grin2orange:

Oh man that's just dead sexy Chris. Kill/clean off the white death and shoot a bunch more pics. I've been needing a new wallpaper for my computer. That quartering away shot makes a Homelite man weak in the knees....

Well...Looks like Chris already beat me to it...give me another one

Just a quick question. I was messing around with that Super 2 today and I noticed that the sprocket wobbled a bit back in forth (not up and down). THE BAR AND CHAIN IS NOT ON THE SAW. Just running the power-head by it's self. (Yes I know your not suppose to do that but I made sure that I did not over rev it and did not do anything stupid I just don't have a 14in Homelite Bar laying around) The only thing holding that sprocket on is a washer and a nut. Is it suppose to wobble, or should I stick another washer on it? Thanks

This saw was a yardsale saw, and for all I know, it was probably a experiment. Lets hope its not a experiment gone wrong :msp_unsure:

I'm no super-2 expert. So, with a grain of salt, It looks like the sprocket is typical, so some play is normal as the drum rides on the shaft on the needle bearing. A cursory evaluation of how much play compared to the clutch pads would be in order. It floating makes some sense in general as the momentum from the chain will want to move it a bit.

Oh, first dodging then chasing the drum and clutch across the yard sucks.
