Thanks Cliff. It is a bit nose heavy with the 36". When the guy walked out of his shed he dropped it kind of swiftly on the concrete and my heart skipped a beat. Worried he was tearing up the teeth and then the muffler gaurd.:jawdrop:

Rick, seems to run alright, havent put it in wood yet.
Wearing a brand new loop of Stihl .404.

Only small faults are the ripped handle rubber-see redneck fix above^
And the numbers the city engraved on the saw in 4 spots, I think one on the bottom would have been suffecient

Very Nice S1050

Last Night's CL Score

Just scored a lightly used SXLAO last night on CL. This is my first CL saw purchase. It was the guy's grandpa's saw and he was getting rid of it. Looks really good on the outside and has a nice 24" hardnose bar and chain with 1/2 or better life left in it.

Last Night's CL Score - Bad News

Now for the bad news.

STRAIGHT GASSED

I only paid $20 for it. I thought that was still a good deal with it being in such good shape and also considering the good 24" b&c. Along with tax return will come a nos piston and cylinder! :chainsaw:

Thats still a great score for $20. Thats a later model SXLAO and it looks to be in awesome shape. You have that 24" bar, dawg and electronic ign. If you dont want that saw PM me.

This is my C-72. I have been asked to post some pictures of it so here it is... My father got this saw for two giant swamp maples that were in his front yard and after they were gone it was stored in his temperature controlled garage. He told me he was going to sell it and I told him NO WAY!!!! And now it is mine. She doesn't get used much but it runs like a champ...

super xl oil lines

I've got a super xl that had the oil lines removed, fittings and all. What's the best way to go about replacing them? Hardware store for fittings and line and then find duckbill valves?

I'll put up pics of the xl102 I picked up yesterday when I get home tonight. :D

Glad to see another Homelite Nut in the making. Check with CM Small Engines (site sponsor named Lawnmowertech37 here) for an oil line kit. If he doesn't have the kit, check ebay. Several sellers have New Old Stock Homelite parts there. The SXL oil line kits are plentiful and cheap still...
