6. Fuel tank: It's full of some brown sludge. Maybe its a tank sealer and supposed to be there.
I had something like that in the tank of a 1050. I split the tank because I couldn't sleep knowing that was in there. It turned out to be as hard as plastic and no solvents would even bother it. The grey patch in the pic is where I tried to see what a very sharp chisel would do to it. That was with a lot of pressure. I decided it must be some type of intentionally-applied sealant and any effort to remove it would only create a problem that didn't exist.It looks like someone went overboard on tank sealer. I tried both fresh straight gas and MEK, neither of which removed the gunk.
It was jet black, though. Not brown.
