Might need a new bellows for the 330, they seem to fail on a regular basis. Also try very thin oil on the one that doesn't oil it worked for me on a saw that wasn't oilingI have really enjoyed your Homelite post.
My first saw was a red XL-12 in 1976. I still have it and use it some.
In the last two months I have bought 4 more homelites.
One old blue Xl-12 for $70. All it need was the carb adjusted.
One red Xl-12 for $30. It only needed a gas cap gasket, spark plug insulator and carb adjusted.
Then I bought 2 junk 330's for $60. I made one good starting saw out of them, but the oiler doesn't work.
I have new lines and will probably replace them today.
I'm still shopping for more and bigger Homelites.
Take care.
Clint

That is a nice collection. Regarding the 900, 909, 990. A round air filter (and sometimes a large, ribbed muffler) will be a 900. There are almost no differences between the 909 and 990 direct drives, except maybe 1/4" cylinder studs on the 909 and 5/16" for the 990. The gear drives have more changes.
Working on a Super mini and having trouble disconnecting the throttle rod to remove the carb for service. No matter how I hold my mouth it wont come out.
