Wow Mitch didn't take long for you to get a bar for it.. Looks good next to the 410.. I am interested to see how it runs next to it tho.. It always surprised me... Love the huge clutch it has too..

Yes Sir, they make a good Homie two saw plan. I was surprised by the power the 410 had. If this saw is anything like it, I will be very happy. That NOS 24" does look good on it.

This is on Muncie, IN CL

Homelite Equipment

Might be right up someones alley

I would have called on one of his 925's but it says he doesnt want to part out.
good luck,
Travis

This looks like the collection that Calvin said he was going to buy before he left in a huff. As I recall, the asking price was $4000, but may be more reasonable now.

this one has been discussed.

not sure what he wants for it but,

you cant wholesale an inventory at retail prices.

This clearly shows the answer to the question as to whether a 410 tank will fit my 540. If the 540 had a metal handle, I could still be running the saw. When I bought my 540 new it came with a 20" bar with the tip protector on it.

Man...with all this talk about EZ's lately, makes me want to dig mine out.

In a previous post I had mentioned an old Homie dealer selling NOS. I had not made it back over there until today. Picked up a box of misc parts and a couple more bars. These are the bars I ended up with. Noting a decent NOS for my latest acquisition, a 540.

That's magnificent.:D

I love those little guys, they are like small XL925s.

You hit it on the head Randy.

That has the best lines of any saw I've seen.
Jeez ! With that pic, and the comments, I may have to give the one I've been ignoring some attention. A buddy gave it to me last summer and I just stuck it on a shelf. I think it'll clean up nice, but probably not quite that nice.

As a friend, I'll be glad to take it off your hands to keep you from the unavoidable frustrations of working on it :msp_unsure:

Seriously though, I love the way that looks in terms of style. Polar's bar finishes it off nicely.

LOL. I'm familiar with that style of Homelite.
This was my first yard-sale score. $10. It was so nasty that you could hardly tell what color it was.
It turned out to be just surface grime.
I smile every time a look at it and I take it out to cut every chance I get.
I really love the chrome grille. LOL :msp_love:

Nice Little Homelite Brian!

I've never seen one of those Super Mini's in person. Just a few pics on the net and illustrations in IPL's. Don't think they sold many here. Only seen a couple VI versions of the XL900 series saws such as the VI955. I understand they were more of a Canadian market thing. That XL Mini sure looks like a 'shrunken' VI955 with a chainbrake. Cool.

I've read that chainbrakes were required on saws sold in Canada starting quite a while ago. The 3400-4000 series and 25 series Poulans were available in Canada with chainbrakes too. Don't see those versions here either.

Very nice Brian! I for one have never seen that particular saw. Looks like a smooth operator.

Couple weeks ago a fellow member listed a saw on the bay and well....I successfully outbid all lookers. Very pleased with the saw. Fine condition and runs very well. These saws are very smooth to run and way to quite...for now. Vid for you gents

Nice videos Mitch. Your making me wish I would've kept my 540. It wasn't as nice as yours though.

XL-12 Fuel cap check valve.

Check valve #69451. Is that just a large duckbill? Who has them on hand?

My other XL 12 fuel cap is different.

Is there a way to change the fuel filter in an early XL-12? It looks like you have to separate the tank halves. Looks like a large swatch of batting.
