If your torque numbers and rpm are accurate, then yes. This must be a simultaneous reading though. My calculations are not "ball-park", they are based on the accuracy of the measuring device. The calculations are exact from there. The best dyno's use a torsion beam to measure torque by the deflection (or twist) in a shaft. and a very accurate protractor. Once we know the torque at a given rpm, (using a digital tachometer) we can calculate the HP exactly. No guessing.
