A few, but I'm two behind right now... Other pressing matters (my forest has a mass of crap "half down"..). PM me in a couple of week, but don't tell anyone else... but really - it's not that hard...

Thanks Andy...

I'll follow up as you suggest.

Windthrown has a good idea as well and maybe an idea worthy of it's own thread.

I would say though, there are modded mufflers and then there are beautifully modded mufflers.

I was thinking of picking up a spare 361 muffler for tinkering and have been watching ebay, but so far ZI have not seen any.

361.. just search AS - Try to find one that doesn't like it, other than Troll's dog.

I sure like mine.

Ditto, and stock a 359 is a dog in comparison......:biggrinbounce2:

It is true that the dog doesn't like the sound of it, he prefers the 353 and 372....

Clearance dosn't like it, and bwalked didn't - but he may have changed his mind, if my memory serves.......:D

Dave Neiger ran and timed a Stock 357XP vs. Stock MS361. He posted the numbers here on AS. If my memory serves, the 357XP cut faster and was repeatable. No doubt they are both good saws, and both seem to be pretty popular. Just buy both and see which you like better.

That was in quite small wood, as I recall it, and he tried only one cutting attachment setup..........

I bought one and love it.

I know that this is not a good comparison but it smokes my 346xp.

Anybody interested in buying the Husky???

ack acck 361

stihl versus husky =:deadhorse: :deadhorse:
stock stihls suck. the only good chainsaw is one that has been tweaked:laugh:    my ms 260 pro came with a 20" bar and #%$% safety chain. change it for a oregon 24" bar and woodsman pro 30rsc chain. it out cuts any stock saw:yoyo:

as for the 361 it will not cut right if left factory, because of all the beachin safety crop and all the enviro garbage, remove safety chain with full skip non safety then modify muffler card and the saw will be a good saw.

A 24" bar on a 260 - I question your judgement........:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:
