How many years does a MS290 last if it is properly maintained and cuts approximately 3-5 cords of wood per year?

Lots of years, I believe - my point was that they both will last for lots of years, and the price difference per year will be miniscule.........

....the joy factor differense will be huge though.

Hard to say... they have only been out about 14 years, and none have ever died if "properly maintained" and cutting that amount of wood.:D

But Brad, you're right...

My point is that the cutting should be fun, not just PITA "do the job".......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

It could be worse, like waiting 80 days to get one of those Lowes Huskies repaired, remember that thread Sawtroll. It took him 80 days to get his 350 Husky repaired that he bought at Lowes. The 290 has back up just like all the other Stihl's, can be fix if needed on the spot where it was bought from, can't say that for the non-pro Huskies now can ya. Now which one you wanna buy, a non pro Husky bought at Sears or Lowes with no repair center, has to be sent off, wait maybe 80 days to get it back, or the 290 that has the same back up as all other Stihls. Its a no brainer after all, I'll be dayumm. Thats why the 290 has been and remians a huge seller for years and years. Your point is now proven, no one wants a pain in the butt non pro saw that has no service behind it like those sold at Lowes and Sears. The sales of the 290 prove your point 100%,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

And no one else on here is a smart azz?

Dont start on me when I try to add humor, last time I checked no one made you God.

P.S. : The 290 is still a piece!

Was no need to check, no God here for sure.

I dont recall starting on you, merely pointed out what your now admitting to, you was just be a smart azz, cool, be one.

P.S :Your STIHL no comedian, wink!

To you - Cutting 3-5 cords of word per year would be a lot more fun using a 361 then a 290?
I don't know as I cut much more than that, and also fell and limb the trees........:biggrinbounce2: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:
