I've got a "bit" over five years under my belt. I tend to screw up about every trip, every tree is different and seems to suprise you in some way.
Sometimes I have just flat screwed up, cut below my face with the backcut and had to wedge the piss out of a Hedge tree. Made to small of a face on a 30" leaning Oak. Had a couple of hollow trees fall just making the face.
Hey it happenes, and happens to all of us!!
The problem comes when you aren't willing to learn form this.
I see what happend and I ask "why did this do this and how do I prevent it?" And I learn.
When you "think" you know it all, and "know" you are smarter than everyone else. Well, you have already killed yourself, you just don't know it yet.

Five years professional felling experience he says he has. Hmmmm.... yet, in all the vids I have watched...I have seen nary a sign of a wedge. Nothing, not even a steel wedge. I guess experienced fellers don't need no stinking wedges.

Second, he keeps saying the "barber chair" treefell opposite because the wind pushed it over. Shouldn't you fell a tree in the direction the wind is blowing. Also, the limbs on the trees do not seem to be moving a whole lot.

Oh, well, I don't have to cut firewood with him, besides, he knows everything already anyway.

Maybe he is thinking of when the barber leans the chair back to give a man a shave, that is a barber chair. Just a thought.:monkey: :hmm3grin2orange:

I could only bring myself to watch the first minute of that - but it appears to be a naked man cleaning a saw while sitting on the floor of an abandoned house?

His chainsaw "matenice" video should not be overlooked.

Why in the heck would someone put up a public video of their house in that kind of crap hole shape with garbage everywhere? This guy is disgusting.

me R a n00b

I confess I'm a clueless n00b. I will however promise i know two things.

1) listen to advice. I don't always follow it, but even in fields I have worked a long time, there's ALWAYS something to learn.

2) not to look to this clown for advice/tips/knowledge.

yeah, he has chaps. does he ever wear them or just use them to clean up oil spills?

I also am not about to put my cluelessness on youtube!

It is hard to believe he lived through 5 years of that. It doesn't matter how long you have gotten away with something, bad technique is bad technique.

He is probably both drunk and stoned! Blade? I think you meant bar lol.
Dam I hate that word Blade!!!

Heh, at least I admit I have had 5 drinks by now, and I am not cutting any wood ;) it is Saturday evening so a bar, a blade - whatever :dizzy:
