how was your year

now that the year is winding down, good ,fair ,slow? barring severe weather related. how good of a year did you have? was it slow,? or is it a regional thing. ?

Good year here. We were busy and profitable. Bought some new equipment and paid off some stuff. The usual struggles with employees etc. No major problems (Knock on wood) and hopefully will have a little something to do this winter..... Mike

work was good this year still going strong in dec wood is selling fast 60 cords sold so far

Good year here as well. Landed the biggest job in my history this year and bought some new equipment. Had some struggles with my best employee but you just adapt and overcome these things. All in all I am not complaining too much and I have jobs lined up through then end of the year.

Highs and lows just like any other year, however this year the highs were far higher than in the past. Finally bought myself a chipper this year after having rented for the past ? years. Hardly advertised at all this year, so that's a big plus. Did 4 jobs with a crane this year, having never used one for the first 10? years. Have plenty of work lined up going into the winter, so that also makes me happy. Hopefully next year I'll be able to buy myself that nice chip truck I've wanted for... well for a long time. If things keep going the way they have been, it should be doable. Profit still eludes me, but at least I know where the money is going, and kind of like it.
