I was thinking about you (Gypo) today while I was in the woods cutting a few decent hard maple. Hoping you have put the memeories of that bad day behind you. Have you gotten things in order as far as the noise and property line's are concerned? Keep us posted, anyway hoping you are knee deep in ginseng and GIGANDUS HARD MAPLE a form of maple know to fatten up the wallet. Take care, Wade Huggins

Dang, but that is some fine big timber there, John!!

I just met a guy with a Lucas mill. He was just at a huge chain saw carving event, and was selling slabs for around $10 per board foot!!! He wants real rough stuff, the knottier the better, decay is cool too. He likes the unique shapes, like stubs left on out a ways too. So, that big maple, he can likely mill and sell for $2000, maybe a lot more...wow!!

I found a bit of figuring in the wood, mostly around knots and branch unions.

Hi there, I got my six trees in today. It was just to hot so I quit early.
Anyway, the skidder was hungrier than I was.... it ate my lunch, a salmon sandwich, a banana and a couple of glazed donuts.
However, heres a picture of me dancing with 088 by Ken Dunn, which is surely cranking out 215 hp., at least as much as Rotax Roberts Predator.
I hope you all have your sunglasses on.....the glare is a bit much!
