Yes, Thall...I suppose you are the type of dude who needs a new truck and new tools to try and fool people into thinking you know what you're doing.

Around here we call people like you 'poseurs'.

A Ranger is just a toy truck sappy.

Naaaaaaaaaaaa its a good little truck. Made by Mazda but then again everything Sap has seems to be of zebra form. He got a orange Poulan, a green Poulan, chinese Ryobi, a Swedish Husky, hell I'm wondering if Sap buys anything made in the USA. Sap do you love your country??? Before ya say it Sap yup Stihl is made in Germany, sure is, they also have 1400 American workers at Va Beach making 3 million units of Stihl a year, Made in USA. So spare me Sap, remember why I told ya that now, yup, you got it, cause what, hehehe

You should try sitting on your own couch, Freud ...'cause you've got issues.

My issues are tiny compared to yours and I will admit mine LOL. You can't even see yours. So Sappy come lay on the couch and we can see if we can relieve you of some of your internal issues so that you may live in the community with a little less stress andcertainly a lot more dignity.

Durn Sap how'd ya know. Yup all my tools are looking new, all made in the USA, my carpentry tools that is. I keep the truck shining and looking good. Every 4 years get a new one. Around here Sap when we see a truck like yours and a boat load of junk on the back of it we got a name for people like you too, we call them wanna be's. Wanna be a carpenter around here you better show up looking decent or no work. Thid isn't Calif Sap, we have standards here around DC. Course I know you love the DC area, your best frend of all lives at 1600 Penn Ave doesn't he,lolololol

Quit sniving about old trucks, my truck was made in 1980, by men, in Canada, cast iron tranny and gear drive cast iron transfer case, straight front axle, not ifs junk. A full size, real 3/4 ton, with a f.f. rear axle, heavy steel bumpers, bush box, when I show up to cut down trees people see the truck and know I'm the man. They see someone show up in a shiny new 1/2 ton and they think "who is this joker?". But Sap, it is a real truck, not a toy, it will haul a cord of wood, a thousand feet of 20mm rod, yard and a half of gravel etc. And my saws are XP or Stihl pro, my boots are $450, I don't care how my truck looks, how does it work? How do you go to the lumber yard and come back with 50 sheets of 3/4" plywood?

Clearance we're not knocking his Ranger truck. What we're knocking is Sap attitude. He loves it though. Makes his day and we're here to please.

...I also roof my own roof, repair my own plumbing, repair my house myself, and pour/finish my own cement....so maybe I'm just different that way.
Yup, done all that myself as well. But let me tell y'all a little something so that you don't sound quite so freakin' stupid in the future.

First, it ain't "cement", it's "concrete". "Cement" is mixed with sand to make mortar or mixed with sand and gravel (fine aggrgate and coarse aggregate) to make CONCRETE. There is no such thing as a "cement" driveway or sidewalk. Got that much so far?

Now, CONCRETE is not "poured", it is "placed". Now I suppose if you fancy yourself as a jack of all trades and master of NONE, you can go "pour" all the "cement" slabs that you want.

Now if you try and tell me that you were just trying to speak to my level with me just being a dumb ol' cable guy, well, don't bother...

Hey Slappy stand Stihl so we can slap you harder.

How did your 460 turn out?

Well to tell ya the truth Simon the fellers and me have spent so much time on here messing around with Sap I haven't had time to really fool with it. Sap's run is about over though so soon as I get into the saw I'll keep you posted.

I built one last week for a guy in the interior. Change the piston spec to 1.50 mm from 1.20mm. I ran it on the dyno and got the same Peak HP but a wider, flatter torque curve.

LOL! Cement it is. As in a generic term encompassing everything from concrete to mortar to thinset, i.e slabs, stone/brick, tile, etc.

And no, I'm not a 'jack of all trades'. I'm a carpenter.
Out here, the lead carpenter runs the jobsite, and is responsible for all the trade's work being done to spec. The carpenter inspects everyone's work before the inspector, and the carpenter is responsible for getting the job thru inspections. That means you have to know what you're looking at, and that means knowing how to do it yourself.

"Out here" Now that right there is funny. I'm glad that you make sure that everything is "up to spec".

Where do the "specs" come from?

.

Larry

Maybe Mike, I mean sap, is referring to the "out-here" were most over the counter "specs" for oil have been extended, some to up to 75K miles, "out-here",,,,,,as he mentioned "that means knowing how to do it yourself"

But I don't think this is not the same "strech-pinto" truck he was bragging that was his method of "conservation"?

Man, I d be REAL careful about inviting Sap to lay on the couch. Plus I would guess that what Sap's community really needs is to be relieved of HIM! I mean, look how much of a pain he is on AS. Could you imagine what it would be like to be his neighbor?

Sap;
I think the cement that you are probably most familiar with, and permanently affected by, is the kind used to build model airplanes.
