Lots of good advice here. Both good saws.

I didnt care for their blue or orange regular one in 372. Those needed some work.Well,I went ahead and ordered a new 372 today. There is only one catch though. They spelled Husqvarna wrong on the saw.Must have been a Monday morning saw,as they spelled it Holzfforma.Yeah,I know. That 272 is very nice, but as someone pointed out,$469 for a 20 year old saw does kind of put things in perspective. As does $1100 for a new 372.Thank you all for the input.I would keep you all informed on the Holzfforma, but I am sure most of yall don't want to hear about it
So there is more to their "pro" saw than just carbon fiber? Is there a better Husky clone they make in orange than the 372? I can cancel my order up until tomorrow morning.I liked the looks of the 288,but I really never need an 80+cc saw. Thanks, and nice saws.I didnt care for their blue or orange regular one in 372. But their white pro one was right with my OE 372 that was new on 2nd tank too.
Pro one is only one I suggest to local of those when they demo saws.
GL and check things over before starting. Everyone of mine has come pig fat. So tune and check fasteners. I grease my drum bearing too. They come dry.

It will join about 6 other saws in my basement that will someday get a good going over.Probably never will, but I have good intentions.Sad to see the 044 reaching the end...
I bought a couple of these a few years backWell,I went ahead and ordered a new 372 today. As does $1100 for a new 372.Thank you all for the input.I would keep you all informed on the Holzfforma, but I am sure most of yall don't want to hear about it
Yes, I dont give a rip about the look or color. I would not care if it was purple. Long had the better parts. Chainsaw to cut with to me, a tool.So there is more to their "pro" saw than just carbon fiber? Is there a better Husky clone they make in orange than the 372? This one has a hyway bb popup kit
It's a strong saw 180+ comp
Never an issue other than a too light of a chain brake spring.
Apparently several outfits make saws and parts for holzfforma/farmertec
I always wondered if neotec made these saws
the cases and cylinders are different castings than farmertec I have one of those too.
Please don't think I was worried about color either.Just the orange was more in my price range.I figure if your gonna go cheap,go damn cheap lol.Yes, I dont give a rip about the look or color. I would not care if it was purple. Long had the better parts. Chainsaw to cut with to me, a tool.
Wabro carb, Meteor piston with Caber ring, Meteor cylinder to name a few. Echo style tank vent. O-ring installed. Used to not come with them in regular ones on pto side.
Dont know if they updated reg ones to that tank vent yet.
Local ordered the orange 372xp from farmertec and loves it. But he also know what to check as I helped him in beginning. Just lesser carb, lesser p+c and psi etc.
All of these IMHO is easy to work on.

My closest saw was a 268 XP.It was bought needing repairs and I never got around to do it.Never even made a cut with it.I like looking on the saw websites at different countries and seeing models I never knew existed.Really like the 272. I’ve bought 3 over the years. All still going. One thing I didn’t really see mentioned is how simple they are. They’re very easy to work on. I built one of those from a couple boxes of parts. It’s not “better” than a 372. It is a little simpler though. Last I knew husky was still making them. They just don’t sell them in notth America
I'm too busy to take on any workReally pushing copyright laws aint they lol.I see you live in WV,did you do the mods yourself?Might consider having someone do some mods if interested.
You want to pay like 800 or so shipped. You can get a brand new OE like we used to get here in US from overseas. This guy is the trusted go to for them @Robin WoodPlease don't think I was worried about color either.Just the orange was more in my price range.I figure if your gonna go cheap,go damn cheap lol.
Do you still have the 268?My closest saw was a 268 XP.It was bought needing repairs and I never got around to do it.Never even made a cut with it.I like looking on the saw websites at different countries and seeing models I never knew existed.
It found a new home via Ebay.I used to sell a lot of saws and parts on there.Do you still have the 268?
I am sure the OEM or bust anoraks will be screaming at you and demanding you trash the "chinga crap" you bought and buy a OEM 372...I would keep you all informed on the Holzfforma, but I am sure most of yall don't want to hear about it
Coming or going?.That’s right, what the hell are you going buying that Chinese rip-off crap!
