I am sure the OEM or bust anoraks will be screaming at you and demanding you trash the "chinga crap" you bought and buy a OEM 372...
I was in that group for a long long time. I learned over time that if a saw does what it is supposed to do, cut wood,it is good enough for me.But I do understand the guys out there making a living with a saw and runing hard everyday.I would buy the top of the line as well.If the China saw last me 3 years for the amount of cutting I do with a 70 cc saw,I will be pretty happy and probably buy another one.I have a Husky 545 Mark 2 I use for most of my cutting, and a 6421 Makita for some bigger stuff.I will run a 24" on the clone for the occasional bigger tree or stump. We have a lot of dead ash trees here and I like to be able to make one back cut and get the hell out from under them.

I'm too busy to take on any work
But honestly I cut for for over 30 years without a ported saw.
A stock 372 is all we need for average tree's here I ran many of the 371/372 series
And I've yet to meet a logger running a ported saw
Most never even heard of them.
If you want a good cheap mod those hyway popup kits have held up great for me.
Of course they used to be 40.00 I have 2 of them.
The bat country 365/372s are not lacking for power I've run 24" bar's on all of them just with a good muffler mod
.And you can always get a oem 50mm 372 cylinder kit
They are 125.00 I just ordered one
If you want true 372 performance.
HA Ha , bat country,lol !

My hat, my glasses| and a mask, always these virus buffet times.

Not sure what relevance it has to the 272 or 372 though, those will rip no matter what.

I've had very good results from my G372 (50mm pop up piston mufflermod) and my G372XP (52mm BB, BGD , muffler mod ,woods ported by me).
I use them for firewood and dropping random trees at work not logging or timber production.
Some basic saw knowledge and tuning really does make a difference, they can be pig rich out of the box and be dogs.

My guess there is a reason why all the nurses where masks at hostiptals during surgery, dont know what it is though.
Stopping blood/ spittle from leaving the wearers mouth/nose area and stopping it from entering their mouth/nose.

And you don't think that would be beneficial to ordinary Joe in this day and age?

I don't care what you do.. I don't mind my hat, my glasses and the medical face mask.
I have not been sick with anything for about two years now.

I was referring to your comment about nurses.

I cannot remember the last time I had the flu (never had the coof) and I don't wear a mask.
Do you know how many viruses the Human body has?, God gave us an immune system for a reason.

Well, a pandemic grade virus that will certainly kill your mum should crave your attention.

If it doesn't, well.. don't blame it me.

My G372XP needed quite a bit of tuning, but overall has been pretty good. I did go through it to check tightness and can confirm the drum bearings come dry as a bone. I run a 24" bar and she cuts well. I use it in my saw rotation depending on log size and it's been reliable, even in the cold. I also really like my G660 and it was pretty pissah right out of the box.

And ol reliable View attachment 1006528but back to them saws. My 272s have been pretty good.
Not the most powerful or the fastest saws out there but they have the torque I like.
And this series is just enjoyable to me to run and really wakes up to porting but not necessary to cut anything anyone would need cut.
I like 365/371/372s but they are more high pitched
High revving saws
The 2 series just lumber along doing the job.
Too bad the oem supplied Brazilian 272s dried up
I wanted one.
