Thanks for posting the picture mrbigsaw, it looks very much like the ad that was posted earlier. I have an old Corp of Engineers Disston Model 636 with a Merc KB6AX engine on it that Mike Acres website says weighs 97 pounds. Its DOM shows 1945 on the Corp plate on the saw. It is hard to believe that you guys used those saws everyday. The first saw we bought here in 1950 was a Mac 3-25. It was a real improvement over a crosscut for firewood cutting. Prior to that we were felling with a crosscut and blocking with a "buzz saw" mounted on a F-30 Farmall tractor. I think the 25 pound Mac had a 20 or 24 inch bar on it. We cut alot of oak firewood with it and sold it for $5 a rick to truckers to haul to Wichita.
