1. keeps saw from laying flat on it's side--makes refueling more inconvenient.
2. Makes removing bar cover and retaining nuts more inconvenient.
3. prevents saw from fitting into smaller boxes
4. is mighty girlie!

Which of these are invalid? :hmm3grin2orange:

1. I've never had a problem refueling with wraps.
2. the scrench fits just fine to remove retaining nuts
3. not an issue for me. I built shelves in my enclosed trailer for each saw.
4. Now thats' funny!

Yea we know ya can cut with the top but on bigger wood the dawgs hold the saw a lot beter than the break handle.

The scrench that came with my saws. I'm not sure what part number it is, ask the dealer, stihl makes one that fits.

I did the same thing, cut the other socket off of the scrench to make it fit.

My factory supplied wrench fits fine. Maybe the deal is we have trees that you cut knee height the other side is shoulder or higher.:chainsawguy:
