The dice are getting loaded...

Rest of readers : Bill has a prosharp, and puts the best edge on any chain I've ever seen (except factory ;))

If you choose the chain, I choose the log (and where you cut) ;)

I found a referee for this challenge......

.

It's good, but.....

Like I said before, I like the 5100. But it doesn't put the hook in me so much that I want another bigger dolmar.

Now the Stihl MS440.......using that would make me want a MS660.
I like it that much.

Something about the intangibles....I can't articulate it very well.
But there is that "feel" I like about the Stihls.
I bought the Dolmar due to it being cheaper than the 260PRO (what I could afford at the time) It cuts good, and I like it.
I'm not quite feelin' the love with the Dolmar......it's good ...but....?
I find it hard to believe it's the equal of the Stihl MS 361 (stock saws)

I was going give up here if I didn't get enough unfair advantage cause I know I'd get my azz kicked, but with this ref I'm back in!

I'm already trying to think of ways to be punished....I mean penalized.

I like my 5100, is okay saw. I love my 7900s, it rules in it's size.

I really like this saw alot. But compared to my Stihls, it floods. It's just different than the Stihls in that regard. I've since gotten used to it, so it doesn't happen much anymore.
But I like the Stihls better.
I've picked up a 260 PRO, it feels lighter and "better".
I like my Dolmar, but I do like the feel of that 260PRO.
I haven't had a chance to grab a Husky 346XP yet, I know it's lighter also.
Other than a few flooding issues (operator error.) and being a little chunky and heavy compared to the two saws mentioned above.
I love the saw.
It IS a strong runner, and at $400 is a great value. But she's just kinda heavy.....The "Rosie" of 50cc saws.

looks like we had differnet experiences:

Here's the 5100 cutting more like it should, unlike last Sunday's sorry performance...

I've gotten to where I think the Dolmars are kind of cool looking. I call my 7900's my bubblesaws.

But what is with the rubber they use for the rope handle? All my Dolmars have black marks all around the starter handle. I start and stop my saws alot, but none of my other saws have all these marks. Seems like they could come up with a non marking rubber for the handle.

:greenchainsaw: That is probably why they have black tops now.

I've been invisible for months! my choice... As for the tree freak thing.. no idea... should get it changed...

Okay, Andy. Go to Off Topic and ask for some input. Use the collective brainpower of the AS site. Okay, "power" might be wishful thinking, but think of it as employing a million monkeys on typewriters. Someone may accidently come up with something really cool.

I did get a bunch of lame suggestions a couple of weeks ago.. maybe I should do a poll?:monkey:
