It was an Enduro racer that told me about it. Dam good climber, also. He taught me how to climb without spurs.

You out there, David Bragg? In Maine???

The deal with Spreader didn't go through, but everything's cool. I did end up going new istead of used. I got a pair of T2's!! Man they are sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeT.!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to put a sharpening on them right out of the box. Looks like when they were shipped the gaffs got together a little, but that's going to happen when thing are shipped. The tips were blunted, but other than that I couldn't be anymore pleased. Just itching to do a Big Boy removal and sit in them for a few hours. :blob2: :D !!!

PS: These are the first pair of Climbers I've had shipped. So if it's not normal for the tip of the gaff to be blunted a little when they're shipped. I'll send them back untile they do it right. Please let me know. Thanks. BB

They aren't blunt tipped, more like a little triangle shaped on the end, but they are far from blunt. I think they are just set up to work a little differently. Looking at them it looks almost like you should kick into the tree like you are kicking a soccer ball, instead of stomping down into the tree. On my old gaffs I tried never to get my kness within 6 inches or so from the tree, with these they are set where you can stand much more straight legged than slightly leaning back. A big difference I noticed was how small of a hole they put in the tree compared to my old gaffs, they may go deeper, but the hole is much smaller.
