That Mac with a bow bar almost looks like a PM1000 or Partner P100.

I'm thinking that's a smaller Partner rather than a Mac rebadged McPartner P100/PM1000.

Notice I used the term, Almost looks like.

Thats why us old guys keep you young fellers with the keen eyes around to spot the details. :D

Back 7 years ago when I cleaned out a saw shop all I knew was they was red ones, yellow ones,
orange and white ones, a few blue ones and some more orange ones.

And thats how they got sorted. :cool2:

Seven years later I am still learning.

Here's one fer ya:

stihl 029 - $1
got from a friend put new motor in it bran new top end bran new chain looks good needs carb cleaned will run make me an offer if dont sell will fix and i will be asking a lot more for it pics up soon please e-mail me with offers will trade for sled prefer jag send pics

So, . . . . I listed it for $1, but I'm not selling it for a dollar, and it has a questionable rebuild in it, but it doesn't exactly run, and I ain't gonna show you a picture of it, but e-mail me with offers - you MUST send pictures, but I'm warning you that if you try to low ball me I might just threaten to ask more than I already am not asking . . . . ?

Anybody want to jump on that?

Philbert

The saw stinks, but check out the cool oil.

McCulloch chain saw, gas powered

I may still have a can or two of that oil hiding amongst Dad's stuff in the shop. Still have his PM320 (basically a less colorful earlier version of that Mac Cat in the ad) in a case on the shelf. For sentimental reasons, I'll go through the trouble of replacing the lines and rebuilding the carb on that little bugger some rainy day.

The bottom bar in that pic (grey one) is for a 10-series Mac. Not for the mini-macs like the black bar above it. Still doesn't make the 'package' worth anywhere near a Franklin. CL sellers here often list the mini-macs, McCinderblocks, and mexi-macs for crazy prices like that. They can keep 'em all.:D

Someone is going to get the deal of the century on this load. :msp_thumbup:

Geez loweez! Cant believe the ad is still up!

Back in the pleistocene, this is how I opened my bike shop. Little cardboard sign at a farm house said bicycles. I pull in, around to the backyard where the cars were parked and GEEZ LOWEEZ, stacks and racks and assorted parts, truckloads. Multiple generations of kids bikes going way back to modern at the time bikes. Got the whole shebang for 50 bucks, multiple Jeep wagonner, stuffed inside and tied to the roof loads. Went from a hobby bike builder and fixing friends bikes to I went and rented the cheapest storefront I could find, opened a shop. I had to, lived in an apartment then, had no place to store them.

Chainsaws in Nixa missouri

Hi Guys, I'm the one with the garage full of chainsaws in Nixa, Mo. Just joined this website yesterday, litterally. Nope, my wife doesn't need the garage back. lol. My hobby of collecting chainsaws has changed a little. I still want to collect but my weekends now are spent cutting firewood, processing it, and giving it away through a local food pantry. It really humbles a person when you see others so much more worse off than you are. Anyway, I originally had 90 saws. Traded a lot of them for a really nice splitter. Decided that I really couldn't afford to do anything with the rest and want to get my M151 Mutt back into the garage and start on it. Saws don't seem to be doing very well here and I wanted to clear them out quick. Anyway, the deal is supposed to happen tomorrow evening. Pay it forward I guess, call it what you will. Later my friends.

This came in an e-mail message. I think that it must be a Chinese knock-off, 'cause it does not look like any STIHLs I have seen?

Cuttin' wood and giving it away to those that need the heat is a FAR better use for saws than sitting on a shelf. Rep to ya!!!
Thanks for letting us know what's going on. You're certainly welcome here.

Welcome aboard! I think you'll find the vast majority of folks here are very much like yourself. There are people from every walk of life here and almost every one of them is ready and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Some of the guys here have real jobs and just collect / swap / repair / modify saws for a hobby, some are pros, some are semi pros, and some are hacks (like me).

New guy rep headed to you!
