Not quite sure where the outboard he mentioned in the ad is hiding, but I can't see it in the pic. Screwy meth-head description aside.........that's a good deal for a running 181SE with a 36" B/C. Then there's the 2100CD in Colville...

The 181 Xp is close to the coast just across the river from Oregon and is a good deal. The 2100 is north of Spokane and I would consider a bit over priced but with the others here asking like new prices it is actually a deal.

Looks like either a D44 or a D49

You can have this one for shipping cost.

Whatever you're wanting to buy, especially a collector saw, someone's gonna tell you it's too much. I was telling about a saw I could probably get for free and another member told me not to take it...

A lot of guys seem to forget that things are worth whatever someone will pay. There was a NOS Husqvarna 288xp went for over $1400 recently. A used, but nice Dolmar 166 recently went for over 2K. Even if I had the money I wouldn't pay these kind of prices for this stuff, but that's why we live in a free country. More power to someone who wants this stuff that bad. Don't let people on here talk you out of something free if you want it. You determine if it's worth it to you, and you never know what might happen if you clean it up and get it running. There are too many people thinking they are gonna get rich off of saws, but I haven't heard of any millionaires that got it from fixin or selling saws except for Stihl, Husqvarna, etc.

I may run over there and give it a second look, if it's complete I'll see what he says. I have to go back in a day or two and take a part back that didn't fit so might be a good time to take a look see.

I don't need it but I doubt if anybody needs a collector chainsaw..

Maybe someone should tell Modified Mark about this?

I just wish more were in that condition.

i heard that! howsomever, since you're not buying it at the asking price you aint the schmuck. maybe schmuck is a little strong here; might shudda said meshuggenah.
well, on third thought, schmuck can still apply also

That's the most Yiddish I've ever seen used on AS.

I think the word Putz is underutilized, and so is Schmendrick.
