A lot of guys seem to forget that things are worth whatever someone will pay. There was a NOS Husqvarna 288xp went for over $1400 recently. A used, but nice Dolmar 166 recently went for over 2K. Even if I had the money I wouldn't pay these kind of prices for this stuff, but that's why we live in a free country. More power to someone who wants this stuff that bad. Don't let people on here talk you out of something free if you want it. You determine if it's worth it to you, and you never know what might happen if you clean it up and get it running. There are too many people thinking they are gonna get rich off of saws, but I haven't heard of any millionaires that got it from fixin or selling saws except for Stihl, Husqvarna, etc.

All I have to do is port 4000 saws to make a million. I did about 175 last year......so 22.8 years from now.....maybe.......:msp_sneaky:

not a saw, pretty cool.

6X6 Land or Water

That is a great deal on a ARGO, just don't expect a comfy ride.

That is a real good deal for someone. They are a hoot to run too. Feels like a miniature high speed dozer. Kind of weird taking them through water for the first time, but they are a blast.

They may be the cat's azz where yall live but they aren't worth a chit in a rice field. Spent way too much time trying to get them out before. The old Coot wasn't much better.........For those who have never heard of a coot please see below....

Model Number 917.60001 I dont know much about chainsaws, but I know this is a COOL beast!!I believe unless you are a huge, strong man this may not be a saw you want to use for too long of a project. However, this one would look awesome restored and displayed!!I inherited this from a dear family friend, who passed away.He took great care of his stuff, and I am sure he was the original owner.I have only used my smaller chain saw,and would'nt even know where to begin to start him up.If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them.

Anyone looking for one?

Local post - can help w/shipping

Was listed last week @ 200

Someone we know?

I was thinking that too,but I don't know who he is.

That guy's name is Ray and he's a pretty good old boy that has a lot of stuff. I've been buying and selling with him for about 12 years off and on.
He had some pretty intense health issues a couple years ago and had to sell off some beautiful saws, like a Pioneer 800, IEL Super Twin, and a
Solo Twin. He was the one that got me two NOS Dolmar 153 gasket sets and a NOS 143MX piston and rings when I was rebuilding some big
Dolmars for a local customer.

Isn't that the same bunch of saws that everyone was talking about a while ago that sounded kind of sketchy?

No, this is a completely different guy. He hasn't been on for a couple years due to health issues.

JJ,

I know him as Doc and have been to his place several times. He's only about 45-50 minutes northwest of here.

The guy is totally legit and a good fella to deal with. Never knew him to post on here. Met another member at his place one day (Old 040) Mark and did some wheeling and dealing.

I pulled quite a few nice saws outta that place before, although a lot of the really nice saws are probably gone at this point in time there is still a lot there. Lots of common dinosaurs there, although there may be some gems left in it. Probably a good deal if you want to take the time to categorize and list everything for resale.
