POULAN CHAINSAW

POULAN CHAINSAW

POULAN CHAINSAW FOR SALE RUNS $35.00 PHONE (570) 584-4309

Not real familiar with Poulans. Is this worth anything?

Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2

IMO any good running saw is worth $35. Problem is "RUNS" can mean too many different things.............

It will run with 95-100psi compression but you aren't going to do much wood cutting with it.

well then, then new plastic ones are a good value, the old counter vibes should be avoided. Many of them have been trashed and parts to fix them are NLA. They are so worthless I have had people give them to me for the cost of shipping. Owning one can be an expensive exercise in frustration. As crazy as it seems, some guys spend more for the exact paint to make them look good than the saw is worth. :msp_scared:

If you see one don't touch it. They are contaminated with the virus that causes CAD and there is no known cure. Post it on the Poulan sticky and it will be properly disposed of where it cannot harm the general population of saw users. Large old Homelite's, Macs Partners and Pioneers can be a source of contamination also. All these old saws are best just left alone.

Now that's more like it Stephen.

Lesson learned, from now on I'll post ALL Poulans, regardless of color, in the Poulan thread :hmm3grin2orange:

Although, I do have a yellow one that actually lives up to its heritage, and one that, well, I could lose off the truck and be more upset because it had a new chain on it..

Yes, I heard those 655's are dog turds. I'll PM you my address so that I can dispose of it properly. You're Welcome.:msp_wink:

Well this deserves honorable mention. It's not even a misspelling............LOL!!!

HUSQVARNA CHAINSAW

I just sold an 029 Super for an amount close to that ($215) if you subtract the other bar. Ad wasn't up 24hrs, posted on Saturday night. Dude drove 65 miles one way.

But I didn't label it a Huskvarna. Its all in the marketing.

You did well on that.

I emailed the seller to let him know of the error, and he replied thanking me for the help, and corrected his ad.

I'm just here for the good of the community.

Marketing is key!

Which sell for more: the 'Huskvarna's with a 'K', or the 'Husqvarna's with a 'Q'? Just curious.

How about when 'Jonsered' is 'Jonsereds'; is that plural (multiple saws) or possessive (still belongs to the Jonsered family)?

It would be an interesting study to find out if/how much grammar and spelling affect the sale price of different items.

I am trying hard not to buy one, no matter how its labeled, although it sometimes pays to look for misspellings if you are a buyer I have found.

If you can't spell the name or item correctly, you may not know what its worth. And if you don't care how its spelled and think you know what its worth, it gets entertaining at times.
