I'm apologize if I offended you by purchasing that 090AV in Louisiana for $300, but I never saw anything posted, I search within 250 miles of my home 3-5 times a week, drove 5 hrs (round trip), carried cash, and bought the saw. The seller never made any reference to someone else wanting the saw or even speaking to anyone.

If there is a next time and it is a saw I want, I will buy it again without regard or reservations. If you ever find a saw in this part of the world and I can help you out please let me know as it would be safe to assume I've already passed on it and would be glad to help someone else.

Again, sorry for the confusion.

Don't worry yourself bud, he's talking about me, not you.

Watson was just trying to make a point. I never burned him and he knows it. The guy didn't want to ship the saw, end of story. It was never even posted here, just on local CL.
Watson's just wanting an 090 bad. He'll get one soon.
In the mean time, he's the eyes and ears for this thread (for all the saws he doesn't want).:D

DING DING DING.....That man wins the prize!!! madrone is watching for me and I'm watching for him. I will get one, when mine comes around....it comes around... and I know it's coming around. Lots of you posted that a saw I posted was in your area and never knew it....I'm glad for you, tell us the story and show the pictures of your new saw! Here's my newest one from tonight. Bought last week and had a friend do the pick-up. Its a non pro saw just before they all went pro.

Hunting the saw is half the fun! Brings a smile to my face and running the saw, well, we won't go there!

For sale is a Husqvarna 272XP chainsaw that has recently been re-built. This saw is for commerical logging/firewood cutting and is made to run all day. Engine size is 4.4 cubic inch (72cc). New parts include: OEM Cylinder, Piston, Rings, new carb and new top cover and decals. Also includes 20 inch bar and chain and bar scabbard. This saw has only a few tanks of gas ran through it since the rebuild which I performed last winter. Cash only and price is Firm.

I think I'd prefer a longer bar, but what do the pros think?

If it needed a new top end how do you think the bottom is fairing?

Deal or no deal?

This one's not going to work out.

Too bad...the 371 is a good saw. They do have the inboard clutch but only have the side tensioner if they've been upgraded to the 372 clutch cover.

As clean as it looks, I would probably gamble on it. The 272 bottom ends are tough, they rarely ever ate a crank or main bearings. The price is right and if you ended up needing to go through the bottom end later on, you'd still be a few $$ ahead.

Thanks for the reply. I wondered about the top cover replacement, yet the rest of the plastic doesn't look bad.

A mite more saw than I was looking for, but not too much.

I e-mailed this morning around 7am & have yet to hear anything...

The fellow doesn't feel comfortable shipping it to me sight unseen.
He wants me to look and the saw and pay cash in person.

He's seems like a nice guy, and I understand completely.
