Hi. I rebuild and repair a variety of engines albeit mostly farm and marine this project factored well into my equation. I picked it up after sitting some time unused in a garage and here we are about a month later after getting to it ready to go home with a perspective buyer looking for a RELIABLE machine capable of handling some of the most adverse conditions and loads todays saws are DESIGNED to break at. I.E. engineered obsolescence....... This saw was designed in 1950 by Mcculloch and sold for $249.99 which was more than you could get a decent car for then. They had no idea at that time that the products along with many others of that era were going to be so good those customers never had to come back.... the 70's is when we started building crap. This saw still sells for $250-$300 in "unknown but complete condition". To a collector its a must have. This one's ready to go home with someone and WORK. I have completely broken down it's components to the casing and it now runs like it should. I have randomly picked it up since I rebuilt it and yanked the cord, first pull most 2 out of 3 times. I've been extremely impressed with this saw's power and the weight gives torque so as you only must hold the saw there. The new bar is angled up 25 degrees and has a new VERY sharp chain. My price is firm. This isn't a plastic stihl or echo piece of crap. It's a gear driven monster that wil NEVER die and chews through wood like 1000 angry beavers.... lol! No plastic HERE bud..... Anyways. I have the saw over at my girlfriend's in edmonds at the moment. If you're interested shoot me an email and let me know. I'd like to get it sold a.s.a.p. Thanks much. -Colt

husqvarna chainsaw

husqvarna 51 air injected chainsaw . in used shape . needs a bar and chain , i was cutting a big tree and got it stuck in the tree so i had to leave it there. It runs but could use a carburetor adjustment. I would like to get 50 for it , make me an offer

do you suppose that getting the saw out of the tree is part of the deal?

 if i had the money i know i would have bought it just to have and play around with it and plus to use it to stump some stihls in the ground

Chinese Stihl 070,I guess to have one is one thing, but to say you paid $1600 is sad.

Quote from description:: "THIS CHAINSAW WAS PURCHASED IN GERMANY FOR 1,600.00 PLUS SHIPPING.IT WAS ONLY USED 2 HOURS AND WAS WAY MORE POWER THAN WHAT I NEED.IT HAS ALL THE POWER YOU WANT PLUS MORE,IT HAS A DECOMPRESSING VALVE,BLADE,CHAIN EVERYTHING THAT GOES WITH IT."

Wow! I can have'em to my door for $456.90. May have fouled a couple, but the allen screws on the top cover and recoil were dead give-aways.
