I've noticed the same on eBay prices lately. Saws, at least big collector saws, seem to be going for crazy prices. I got outbid today on a 111S that went for $786!

Yep, and if that's the listing I'm thinking of...........................it wasn't even a runner. The silly season is upon us...:dizzy:

I'm putting some saws on ebay in the next couple days. Anybody interested before they go on?

The 192 Stihl is already on ebay. May get the 359 Husqvarna on there tonight as well.

Holy Cow! Did you see the one from Gainesville Fl. that ends several hours before yours. It's up to $305 plus $20 shipping! A new one is $320 plus tax from the dealer.:jester:

Actually prices have been rising pretty steadily over the past year. The big difference now is that you see it daily, because there are a lot more saws for sale now then there were a few months ago. Obviously this is all speculation, but I doubt that vintage saw prices will ever return to the lower levels that we saw a year or two ago. There just are not enough "barn find" saws out there to support all the wannabe collectors. (like myself)

What with all the crazy high prices on the bay right now I thought I'd look over Craigslist. I just bought a running Poulan 245A for 50.00. A 6 hour drive and it's home.

I was watching that auction as well. Although i didn't
bid. The ending price is just crazy. But then the Saw king
797 went for just over 760.00 and last nights only brought
522.00 and last nights 797 was a much better saw IMO.

I think the vintage muscle saws will always have a demand.
Some models are getting very scarce. With the exception of
the Mac SP125, There's an endless supply of those.
