That was a great price..............especially if the Wacker cutoff saw in one of the pics came with it.

So do I tell Tim he sucks, or Jeff?:cool2:

Its not here yet, but it is paid for. Seller said they would ship, still not a bad price. If it runs, and it will, and if its as good as my other 4000, I'll make a decision on which to keep, but it may be both. I think I have another sheet of plywood somewhere to make another shelf.

Ask the seller to look under the air cleaner cover, there was a sears number and a sticker on the one that I have. Mine is a D-44, Techumseh Power Products which may have transitioned to Poulan based on the oiler setup and some other features.

Possible AH58?? But is that one a gear drive?

It is, look at how the bar is attached..... dead giveaway.

If your hands don't hurt now, they will........
60S HOMLITE SAW

They don't vibe that bad Jonathan. When we go cutting, I'll be sure to bring my C-5 for you to run (avy pic). I'd like to know what happened to the XP1000/1020 that gave its clutch cover to the C-51 in the ad. That saw might be worth his asking price. Not the C-51 though. Without a bar/chain, he'd be lucky to get $25 for it. That's what I'd pay for it as a runner. Certainly not $100 more...:tongue2:

Yep. I have a friend who's looking for a blue DB gear drive like that for a display/demonstration he's putting together. Wish I'd known that a couple years ago when I passed a few of 'em up on CL (for peanuts). They come around every once in a while though...

Looks like an 066 for $150 on the Norfolk, Va Craigslist ???

Somebody near Norfolk should check this out QUICK, just in case it's real!!

I haven't tried calling this guy, 'cause I'm not in a position to run down there, and don't want to scare him by asking too many questions.
