There was a guy from up nordt eh,

he had some awesome vids of ingenuity.

Too bad he turned out to be a pedophile.

(that's what I heard, so won't name him)

Here's one you don't see very often, at least not on this side of the pond. It should bring good $$$ even with the incorrect recoil cover.

Vintage Jonsered XA Diesel Chainsaw | eBay

******************************************************************

This is chainsaw related....well.....sort of :msp_mellow:.

It didn't sell when priced at around $2,400.00. It's a very cool sign/clock--strong colors, active graphics, nice Kiekhaefer logo--but it's relatively small, and might be worth $300.00 tops on a very good day.

The Poodle, (he uses his sisters account ;) ), has been putting up some real cool saws lately. Just added the diesel to my "you been outbid list". :msp_thumbup:

Those vintage marine signs are in a different class than saw stuff. I have had a bunch of Pam clocks and they can bring some huge coin sometimes at auction. One of my buddys has a house full of clocks and antiques including the same Merc clock and I can see that one bringing close to a grand pretty easy from a boat collector.

Check out some of my old sign's, most were sold off going through a divorce in 2010. :msp_thumbsup:

Chinese Knockoff 070

The biggest thing I notice is that the Stihl orange is the wrong color. It is almost brown.

The other thing is that it just doesn't happen that way, that some guy keeps one new in the box that looks just like the Chinese copies. And I don't think the original 070's were packaged in styrofoam. I also have never seen a top sticker that said "Stihl 070" before on a real one. It just says "070".

I can definitely concur that this is not a "genuine" 070. The packaging is all wrong and as stated by Ambull I have never seen a Stihl saw double marked with their name on top and on the recoil.

I think my local dealer had one left over and it was cheaper than that..

I own one that is "like new" and I gave I believe around $450.00 for it. Since the new emission laws have messed with a good product yet again, the new ms201T is not near the saw the MS200T was. I believe they also went to a plastic case on the MS201? Anyhow at its peak the MS200T sold for around $760.00 plus tax. This is quite a jump from just a year ago. I suppose there are those who still want the old reliable saw that has proven to last rather than risk the new one, and possibly have to pay for one more frequently. Scott over at Chainsawer told me recently that a rep from Stihl was trying to get him to quit selling parts for Stihl and that they have started building obsolescence into their product. They don't want any of the old reliable saws left out there so they can give you a good shaft! Unfortunately we live in a fallen and extremely greedy world, and it is getting worse by the day.

I sent him a question and asked why he was calling it an AV pro model. Neither are true let alone it could be from china. I told him to quit lying but he posted it again.

All 070 and 090 saws have the name on top and on the side. Even the Contra Lightnings had Stihl marked on both.

This 090AV has the same style tag as the UK 070.

Is this spelling on the list Aaron?:bang:

McCulloch chainsaw

They spelled right once and then wrong in the add?

It is now Shane.

I see that they felt the need to drop the 'go carts back in the day' line. Idiots....

Looks like it'd clean up nice. Also looks like it has the external carb adjustments........and that means a Walbro SDC instead of a damn 'bullfrog' carb.
