All 070 and 090 saws have the name on top and on the side. Even the Contra Lightnings had Stihl marked on both.

This 090AV has the same style tag as the UK 070.

IIRC The 070's and 090's are still being made in Brazil. They don't make the EPA guidelines to be sold here in the States.

This 090 AV saw I linked has the make and model on the same tag. It was one of the last models sold here by Stihl.

Most of the china saws do not say Stihl on them because Stihl is a very aggresive company and will send SS troops after you if you try to put their name on a product not made by them.

I have a freind that runs a chainsaw wrecking yards and at one time he had stihl in his ebay user name.

On a low profile you might get away with that for a season but eventually they shut him down and he changed his name.
