When you're ready to cut, the depth gauge can be set to the depth of the cut then the carbide tooth chain chisels through layers of material"

Carbide chain, too?

His description was "stolen" was stolen from a previously ended auction for a 757 rescue saw. Looks like someone decided to take the plunge, hope all works out for them.

A loop of generic semi 3/8" x .050" x 70dl from a local shop is only 15-18 bucks made on the spot. So, not worth my trouble. I get chains shortened there often but the .058" guage shoots it in the head.:(

Yeah it is an odd size, almost like the .325" x .O68" x 62dl they specify for a Stihl MS 250. Is there a reason to put the heaviest gauge chain with the shortest pitch on such a small bar? If it makes sense to someone else, please explain.

They make it odd like that so Joe homeowner wont be buying his replacement chains at Home Depot or TSC etc.

Keeps the sheep coming back to the barn that way.

Harder for the sheeple to bend one also. And then when they go to the big 290, 3/8 in .050 doesn't seem as slow.
