Guys, do any of you dealers here have a NON-catalyst 345 or 353 Husky available? I respect what you all said about the Deere saws. I don't like the small Stihls. I don't want a 30cc throw away saw. I won't buy an "e-tech" Husky. Is there a solution to this problem. Please don't tell me to buy a Dollie 5100. Light, reliable, dependable saw for light work please.

Smaller saws...

I was/am also looking in this range. Dollie 341 is said to be a good 33cc saw. The larger 39cc motor on the same frame is the 401 and is light and powerful. Echo 30cc saws are very light and OK, and last for years. We have the CS-3000 TH Echo and it is a 31cc farm saw that puts up with a lot of abuse, is light and does cut. You can get a 305 with the same motor and a rear handle for pretty cheap.

OK orange, what do you have for dealers in you're area? I don't like Echos because to me they feel like play toys, but I know a few that run them and are happy with them, and they are reasonably priced! Sorry to have been a downer on the Deere saws, but the truth hurts. Look in you're phone book for outdoor power equipment and see what you find. Shindiwia makes a fine saw, but it's a bit heavy, that is nearly bullet proof. It sounds like any Husky you get will be internet, and thats a gamble no matter what. Have you considered used? there are many on this site that buy/sell/trade just for fun it seems:hmm3grin2orange: , might be worth checking into? I myself would rather buy used off this site and know what I am getting, than buy new and hope I am geting what I want, just something to think about.

They are everywhere her, as no-one want the cat ones, and the dealers doesn't stock them........

At least her, the 353 is the "best buy" in the 50cc class, the MS 260 (non-pro) is cheaper, but not even close to as good a saw........:yoyo: :yoyo:
