I took it along with me today to see how it worked.No complaints,it worked like a charm other than when my spastic idle screw fiddling dislodged the carb throttle return spring No great powerhouse but light,quick and good handling.I have to say I like it better than my old 026.Not bad for a 20yr old machine.I would sort of like to have 5000 though...and maybe a plus.....and a red one..... :help:

I like the Pioneer/Partner 500 ones in the yellow colors (like yours), better then the Partner 500 black ones for looks.

My 5000 plus saws has come from, British Columbia, Vermont, Washington, Quebec, Nova Scotia. Plenty of them out there, you just have to look alittle.
I know of guys that have 8 to 10 apiece put away.

I've heard a rumour that the lack of 5000's in Nova Scotia was because some guy in Ohio has been hoarding them.His name escapes me at the moment but I'll give it a little more thought:monkey:
