Hey Dean, there's a 80/90 intake manifold on ebay right now....pretty reasonable 'buy now'. I remember you had a pic of yours broken...?

Kevin
Yup. Thanks Kev. It arrived today. I think I have all the pieces gathered for the rebuild now. I just need the right tool to get that keyed spider gear off so I can replace the other crank seal.

Awesome...well, you might win the race now because I'm swamped with work and rototilling on the weekends. I haven't even looked at a chainsaw in two weeks...sucks.:(

I gotta get licensed now and bonded in OR to get back in the woods on private property....which means online courses at my expense...I hate OR almost as much as WA....:chainsaw:

I'm talking to a ebay Stihl dealer and he says there are three Stihl hoses being made for handles;23mm, 21mm and 19mm ID. He says he also has some of the old ribbed hose in 18mm ID. Says people complained about the ribbed hose being "uncomfortable"(pussies) and so now they just make smooth hose. Hell, might just as well go with the other vendor that was offering heavy duty heat shrink-smooth. Working in rainy, crummy weather, that ribbed hose on the full wraps may have saved my life a time or two......

I'm holding out for the ribbed hose of the right ID....I know it's out there. I'll measure my bar OD and see what I have on the Huskies and J'reds.

Ok . . . I'll slow down and wait on ya for a bit. Good luck with your courses.

Dean.......got the gasket set today....Thanks!!! Gonna build two 910Es....had plenty of the other gaskets but only had 1 case gasket.....now I have two!!! Thanks again my friend!!

Good to hear, I was hoping it would find you and wondering if I had spelled everything correctly!!!

For $50 bucks thats fair, not the best saw but better than a wildthing and half the price. Ive seen 520s that cut real well.

Hi Guys,

Any good news on the 520SP, there's one on Kijiji (southern Ontario), a runner for only $50.00

Lee
No good news.....never was any good news on any of the 5XX series.....except the 590....you can look at them two ways....either they were the last gasp of a dying saw company........or the first attempt of a vacuum cleaner company building a saw....I prefer the latter.....'cause they sucked..... they were poor when you could still get parts......now...about as Raket says......perhaps better than a wildthing.....but at least you can still get parts for a wildthing...and IMHO it's just as well you can't get parts for them anymore.....
