I have to laugh when I see 84 month car loans advertised. When you get your car payed off, it's rusted out. Here's a pic for you Benz guys. It is a car that my Cousin had back in the '80's. It's up in the pasture now.

My daddy had one like that with the silly little fins. 'Twas a diesel, and I think it got to around a half million miles before the frame was too rusty to pass inspection.

Lol..so was he cheating? I never got the bug to do any saw competition...especially when I heard they were dropping one of two rings for less friction etc. The 2100/2101's went through gas like crazy anyway, porting would have been far worse. We did muffler mods and plugged the gov...that's it.

I'll PM you about the air filter...thanks!!

Kevin
Nah, he wasn't cheating - he was just a very good competitor with a very good saw for its time. I had to have one like it and try to make it even better. Another member is using my old ported jug regularly these days.

I'll get the air filter sent out today.

Wow...seems like the eco-Nazis would be all over the use of chemicals and high salt usage. That can't be good for the little critters on the side of the road...or whatever they worry about. Growing up in the Midwest before salt usage, they used to use cinders from big truck with a rotary spreader. Worked great...then they went to salt.

Robin, you have the distinction of having more running 49SP's than anyone else that I know of!

Nice old J'reds, Eric!

Kevin

LOLOL!! t would seem I do.......spike60 and I got in a bit of a race yrs ago....as to who had the most 49sps.....I won...eventually......I actually think he gave up, more than me winning...LOL!! However....I have always kept 2-3 49s and all the parts ready to build at a moments notice to defend my title...LOLOL!!! I do like those little guys......my first and only Jondereds bought new......wore it completely out........it's the one at the top of the pic with the Sugi bar....that saw put food on the table for three winters as well as laying up 24 cord of hardwood per yr for the farm....for six yrs........then it worked for 10 more yrs selective logging with a 70E to feed my diesel sawmill.....it needed every thing.......crank...P&C...top handle...a lot. Still had it when I joined AS and learned I could fix it...though parts were NLA....it's the leader of the pack now!!!
