agreed, I moved 8 times in about 3 years after college, it sucks

Brian

I think I counted once, 12 moves after college. My dad thought I was psycho and had some 'wanderlust' type disorder....lol. I was lucky though...never had my stuff jacked and I was always moving around with a lot. I had to live here for many yrs to have someone get into my garage and wipe me out. Then this became an encampment, harboring continual paranoia. My son and I caught a couple of 'people' trying to steal more. They got hurt bad, bound and thrown into dirt piles on two different occasions ....called the cops and they were gonna arrest me! Gave me this whole speech about "equal force"....whatever, sometimes a guy has to draw a line in the sand.

LOL!!! The cops probably would have given him the same lecture here they did me about "equal force".

I'm not gonna say anything about the Mex that stole the bike, other than most crimes here like that are done by the same perps. Not PC or 'cool' I know, but just a fact.

You know you want it Robin....even if that makes your hundredth 49sp....lol!

Kevin

Well......of course I want it......and just by the looks it would probably be a good deal....but I have something like 4-5 yet that need be built whenever the mood and/or time strikes me. No point in me owning them all because then no one else would get to see what a great, comfortable little saw that they are...LOL!!

Very few of the parts will interchange between the 520sp and 2050/2051. I have had some guys on this site go so far as to say that the 520sp family of saws almost killed Jonsered. I have a 510sp witch I think is pretty similar. It is definitely not a pro saw but for occasional homeowner use it would be OK. I do have a soft spot for it because it always starts and it was my first saw. The one that started it all.
The 2051 and the 2050 belongs to totally different "saw families" as well. Also the 2051 was a high performance pro saw, and the 2050 a plastic cased "homeowner" one, based on the Partner P400 design.

No I mean parts interchange between the 2050 turbo and the 2051 turbo, I don't know much about jonsered saws to be honest

The cutting attachments and the bar nuts will interchange - not much more I believe.

Well . . . . . this is embarrassing.

I'm working on my father in laws Jonsered 2050 turbo classic. I have the bar and chain off for cleaning and inspection purposes.
But when I reassembled the bar and chain I notice there's no chain tension tightener???

Question: So, how do you tighten a chain on a bar that doesn't have a tightener? Weird.

The chain tensioner should be in the clutch cover....not the case....
