check those components one at a time with your meter. make sure those points are clean, flat. Ever check the timing? I really cannot imagine that arm on those points wearing down the crank lobe! look at it it would be grooved if that happened
points are swapped out and cleaned up

normally into the teens and it's junk...or on its way out.. like i said mine reads 15 and my saw run great

check it again 7 should be still ok
7 is less then half of what you got no way is 7 going to last that`s why when it gets warm i`m sure it drops off even more ,watch the spark and its super varies from good to bad for some reason that`s why the saw run good for a very short time and then drops off and dies

You have to charge it with electricity(your multi meter will do that) set in back on ohms, put red on the pin, put black on side of condenser case. If it starts out low and slowing counts up that's good, if it jumps immediately into the 20s or high teens it's not good...but there is a 2nd part to test.......hang on

can it be down in the saw or does it have to be pulled out i got a ****** meter with only ohms setting and i got zero with it in the saw unhooked

if your meter is counting up slow leave it count for a while. immediately switch to DC Volts. (3decimal points if your meter can do that) if not just plain dc volts. positive on pin negative on case. read the voltage thats being held in condenser. remember the number. remove the proves, put them right back on the pins it should be reading damn near the same number as when you took them off. If it's close it's ok. So you put current in with your meter and your checking to see if that little condenser will hold the current.
