as far as a rouge coil dont put nothing past this saw i might have to bring in a exorcist soon on this one ,my friend says heard it in the middle of the night try to start itself once too ,lol

we did test the parts first we tested the condenser, and we tested the internal coil and external coil under load the only thing i had that was failed was the condenser ,that was straight bad . all the new old parts i got was the internal coil and condenser which both tested good something is causing the condenser to not work is my guess

and you gotta pull flywheel again and check that ground wire the whole distance. what about the contacts on the recoil cover and the block?

yeah keep think about that too not sure what to do there keep thinking its the dam coil to plug though the new internal coil and condenser saw was running great for the longest period then it just died like before its like it lost ground or the spark coil finally died got warm and quits it so bizarre ,the thing is it had spark but died right away again when trying to restart immediately ,then i think too are the carb gasket screws coming lose too because i kind saw that happen before and you get an instant bog and stop then too

set a new points set in put a small washer under the grounding stud and now i cant shut down with switch what`s that telling me ? put switch back on bolted it up then i started it and was cutting and bam died right out again

the recoil cover
was watching the spark it was intermitted strong weak i have no idea but the coil is got to be bad literally the new internal coil the condenser the spark coil its all got to be junk even thinking the cam lobe is junk like too wore out .i got it running the other day and everything was perfect ran great then its total junk again shut right down

check those components one at a time with your meter. make sure those points are clean, flat. Ever check the timing? I really cannot imagine that arm on those points wearing down the crank lobe! look at it it would be grooved if that happened
